Business Continuity Analyst – Westborough, MA

Two year contract position.


Participate in improvement and maintenance of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for all corporate locations. Focusing on business processes, provide as-required follow-up support to ensure timely and quality completion of, BIA and BCPs.  Understand the practical and strategic role of BCM tools and integrate them into the processes used to develop, BIA and BCPs.

Assess and assist in development and delivery of required training on BCM methodology, programs and tools. Periodically perform an assessment of organizational training needs and propose training recommendations to Global Head of BCM.
Assist in development, planning and coordinating details regarding the execution of business continuity exercises.  This involves direct dealing with the business process owners and recovery team members.  Specific activities include developing exercise scenarios, facilitating the sessions, documenting exercise results and conducting after-action-reviews and preparing after action reports. Manage process to ensure all post-exercise BCP changes and gaps are documented and properly incorporated into plans and perform quality audits / reviews to determine plan completeness.

Assist in BC Tool management.  Develop and maintain required end-user support materials.  Ensure quality of master and meta data in all systems. Responsible for reviewing and setting controls in place over electronic access to data, business process information and plans.

As a member of the BCM Office, evaluate the program and identify improvement opportunities. Develop and present business proposals to Global Head of BCM to articulate opportunity, benefits and risks to manufacturing and non-manufacturing company locations.

Manage and leverage relationships with partner organizations such as ITS-Business Partners, Quality, Compliance, GIS, etc. This includes actual business such as Site Managers, Country General Managers, site/country BC Coordinators, function owners, etc., in order to obtain maximum BCM Program awareness, compliance and communication.

Skills: Desired Skills and Experience

Position requires undergraduate degree in business or finance or other related degree and/or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant business continuity experience and hands-on development of BIA and BCPs within pharma-manufacturing industry
Relevant industry certifications from Disaster Recovery International Institute (DRII) and Business Continuity Institute (BCI) preferred.
